Subway Terrors
Since before we even left for our trip the thing that I most excited for was riding on the subway. I know that sounds crazy considering all the places we’re going but it’s true! When I found out we were going to New York that was the first thing I thought of.
We get to NYC and walk through Central Park, stop to take a few group pictures, then off to subway! Well we were off to Canal street, but we had to take the subway which is what I really cared about. We walk to our station and walked down underground to the miles of New York City subway tracks and trains. The moms tell us which metro pass to buy and we all got in line and bought our tickets. This is when we stopped to take so more pictures of how proud we were of our subway tickets.
After everyone had got their tickets we swapped our tickets and headed to our platform. We waited about 10 minutes and yet again we spent our time taking more and more pictures. We had watched 3 or 4 different trains go zooming by and a few stopped, but then finally our train got there and it was time to broad!
There was quite a few other people getting in on the same door besides our group so it was crowed. I was in the lower middle part of the group that was getting on the train. I’m walking waiting for my turn, and then as I’m walking on the subway door shut on me! I was kind of in shock of what was going on and just stood there as everyone did behind me. But luckily Fran had just gotten on before me and was first to come to my aid. She tried to pull the door open and then a man came out of no where and ripped the doors open and starting yelling at everyone to move up.
I made it out ok! And the rest of our group made it on the subway car and all was well. It didn’t even hurt I was just so scared about what was going on that I was in shock and froze! If it wasn’t for Frans fast reaction things might not have turn out so well.
